Math Solid Figure Game

We have been working on Geometry in 2nd grade math. By the end of the unit students will be able to:
1.Describe and classify plane and solid geometic shapes (circle, triange, square, rectange, sphere, pyramind, and rectangular prism) according to such attributes as the number and shape of faces, edges and vertices
2. Make solid figures including cubes, rectangular prisms, spheres, cylinders, cones and pyramids
3.Put shapes together and take them apart to form other shapes
4. Identify and model symmetry with concrete materials and drawings
5. Identify the line of symmetry in figures and objects with symmetry
6. Identify and model congruence with concrete materials and drawings

To help us master these objectives we used playdough and solid figures to play a geometry guessing game. We could choose any solid figure and print a face or two of the figure into the playdough. Then put hte shape back. Next our partner had to use the face shown in the playdough to try and identify different solid figures.
