Ms. Whyte and Ms. Eng taught us about the importance of maps, how to create maps, and how to write directions. We practiced by writing directions to send our classmates to a location in our school. Then groups of students followed the directions with Ms. Whyte taking photos to see where they ended up. Only 2 of 4 groups actually made it to their final location! We learned how adding details to our writing can be really important when giving directions or else you can get lost! We also learned about our nation and created maps of our community and the United States of America.
